An open house featuring the Victorian-era mansion begins at 5 p.m. A special presentation on the History of the Mansion will be presented in the mansion at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. by Haley Aguirre, Archival Clerk.

The public is invited to these free activities.

Join the Western Iowa Tech Community Choir. Vocal Music Instructor and Director of Choral Activities, William Darwin, Jr., will be leading the choir on Tuesday nights. Every level of singer is welcome. The choir will perform at least once a semester. Singing in a choir is incredible for your well-being. Numerous studies show it can relieve stress, boost the immune system, and build a sense of belonging. Join the WITCC community choir to create lovely harmony in your life.

Rainforest Falls VBS: Exploring the Nature of God
Grace United Methodist Church is alive with excitement as kids climb into Rainforest Falls, a hands on adventure where they explore the nature of God through interactive learning and fun. Each evening blends science experiments, games, music, and themed treats to help faith take root in everyday life.

A Journey Through the Rainforest
Students join age based Crews--Tree Frogs, Toucans, Ocelots, and Gorillas, and start each night with a high energy Opening Assembly. From there, they head into Rooted Bible Adventures, where engaging lessons highlight the nightly Bible Point. Kids also meet a new Bible Buddy and learn a memory verse to carry home.

Faith in Action
Throughout the week, children participate in Operation Kid to Kid™, helping provide fruit trees to families in Central America. It’s a simple way for kids to see how their faith can make a difference.

A Wild Finale: On June 11, students and their siblings are invited back for a special visit from the Sioux Falls Zoo mobile. This 45-minute presentation features live animals, interactive moments, and an up-close encounter for the whole audience, a fun way to celebrate God’s creation and wrap up the Rainforest Falls experience.

The Sioux City Public Museum is offering a free, drop-in family fun morning. Activities are designed for preschool and early-elementary-aged children, but all are welcome to join in the fun. Kids’ Thursday: Stars & Stripes, takes place Thursday, June 11, from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Kids’ Thursdays 2026 are a part of the museum’s 250th Anniversary of the United States celebration. Adult programming and summer camps are also scheduled.

🎤 Siouxland Comedy Presents: WE ARE NOT LYING
Everybody's got a story. Not everybody's claiming theirs.
We Are Not Lying is Sioux City's first live comedy game show — a night of storytelling, deception, and laughter.
Here's how it works: every comic submits stories. 9 get drawn at random. Then the panel has to figure out WHO submitted each one — while the real owner does everything in their power to throw them off the scent.
Can you spot the liar? Can THEY keep a straight face?
